Current Projects
Sierra Leone is a country on the southwest coast of West Africa with a population 7.8 million, with a little over 70 percent who identify as Muslim. Sierra Leone’s capital city, Freetown, was once a sanctuary for Muslims escaping the global slave trade. Today, sadly, like much of the Ummah, Sierra Leone Muslims still reel, both spiritually and economically from the colonial past and the recent 10-year civil war. These matters have been compounded in recent years by a lack of Islamic effort and resources. They need help, support, and guidance. With all these concerns in mind, ALRAHMA ORPHANS INSTITUTE was born. There has never been an institution in this country dedicated to providing children with both formal and Islamic education. Imagine a country where most of the individuals lack fundamental knowledge about Islam and its values. Hence, it is very crucial to act now to protect future generations. This project will greatly help us to take the right steps in resolving this crisis.
The goal of this project is to raise the construction cost of the facilities, which include:
1. Secondary School for boys
2. Secondary school for girls
3. Vocational School / Trade School
4. Auditorium (for Islamic Arts)
5. Masjid
6. Residential housing for students and staff
7.kitch/dinning/storage
8. Community Medical Clinic

Vision:
Alrahma Orphans Institute's vision is to provide an all-inclusive facility which consist of providing a support system that will address their needs related to safe residential housing, formal education, Quranic studies, Hafiz training, and teaching our students life-long skills to complete the tasks of a specific job to help them function independently in the community.
